I am an organized, OCD type personality, but I've had to make peace with that over the years. Sometimes, blog posts get put to the back burner. Sometimes, personal photos get pushed to the side. In ideal land, I'd want to process my images all in chronological order... but if I did that, I'd never get around to doing anything. I have to compromise. And that has been good for me on the whole (dude - the world didn't explode when I posted something out of order!). I'm a much more laid back person than I was ten years ago. That's a good, good thing.

recently took her girls to
!!! Dude, that was exciting for me. If you know me in real life, you know we LOVE the beach. And when I say that, I mean we love being in the sand, in the water, enjoying nature. Not shopping, playing putt-putt, or eating ice cream - or whatever those of you who aren't nature fans do when you visit the ocean. I love experiencing the beach. I love playing with my kids at the beach. And I love photographing at the beach.
I've learned so much more about photography since I took these images in June of 2011 (more than two

ago... yikes). I've learned so much more about beach photography since I took these images. And wow, how my kids have changed!!! That is perhaps the best thing in going back to see these. I miss my little guys. But still, it is fun to see and enjoy the beach for a bit today. Since I got a shout out from Tiffany in her post, I thought perhaps I should update my own blog with all of my beach photography work.
We visited the middle of
Topsail Island, North Carolina
with a family that we are close to back in June 2011. The kids thought this vacation was the best ever. Here we have the first day of that vacation.
