It would do me well to remember that a story need not be a long one in order for it to be a good one. 

Last Thursday my children resumed their new school year, and thus far it looks like it will be a most excellent one.  That evening my daughter's only homework was to read and she promptly went to her bedroom for the task after we had snack. 

When I passed by her bedroom door during that time, I was struck.  Just struck, plain and simple.  It was just a peaceful scene.  A beautiful scene.  A scene that pierced my heart is a most delightful way, for a love of STORY and READING is so incredibly important to me.  It encourages me incredibly to see her developing a love of what can be held within letters on a page, collected and bound for others to absorb.
