Time.  I find it is life's most precious commodity.  For everything that is important to us -- it simply takes TIME.

When we returned from our trip to Topsail Island, NC in early June, I had a revelation that we were in a sweet, sweet spot with Little Lady.  She was obeying wonderfully.  She'd turned just plain sweet.  We liked her.  We'd waited three years for this.  We could finally genuinely LIKE our daughter.

Then we had kids.

Suddenly last fall, she contacted me and asked if I could take some graduation pictures for her and work on a graduation announcement.  Graduation from COLLEGE.

A strong one.  It very often paralyzes me.  I am not at a point where I'm fully pleased with my photography work.  I don't know that I ever will be... But despite that, it is quite a high compliment and boost when someone likes what you do enough that they ask you to come back, a second time, and forever preserve special memories for their family. Nathan was really still a baby when Cora was born.  It was hard.  Being diagnosed with hypothyroidism four months later only made it harder.
